Layers of Existence by Arjen Roos

Layers of Existence is an abstract digital artwork built from stacked, curving contours that read like a topographic cross-section. Each tier forms a clean groove while the surface is covered in dense, multicolored speckling that breaks the smooth planes into granular color fields. Deep black voids balance the brightest areas, emphasizing depth and directional flow.
The composition uses saturated neon greens, magentas, cyans, purples and warm accent tones placed against dark recesses to increase perceived volume. The resulting image feels both architectural and organic: ordered contouring meets stochastic surface noise. This contrasts concentrated structure with a diffuse field of color, producing a visually engaging piece that works as a focal artwork in modern living spaces, offices, galleries, or any setting that benefits from a high-energy abstract with sculptural depth.

Studio Notes

Where it works best:
- Large-format wall art in living rooms, lofts, galleries, or reception areas where scale reinforces the layered depth.
- Accent wall in a modern office or creative studio to introduce energy and visual texture.
Styling and pairing tips:
- Pair with minimal, solid-color furnishings to keep attention on the image; neutrals like charcoal, slate, or warm beige help balance neon tones.
- Coordinate with small accent pieces in magenta, teal, or lime to echo the palette without overwhelming the room.
- For a softer effect, frame with a narrow black or deep wood float frame to separate the composition from the wall.
Product-fit notes:
- Strong candidate for large prints or canvas reproductions; details benefit from higher resolution and scale.
- Works well as a statement wall piece rather than a small bedside print; small-format items will reduce the perceived depth and granular detail.
