Computer generated or assisted art

For a Dutch blog post a while back I looked into computer generated and computer assisted art and tried a bunch of software to create art as homework for writing the blog post. When the blogpost was done I made an artwork incorporating all the different elements I had created which resulted in the artwork called ‘Mathematical Art’ I want to show you here.

‘Mathematical Art’ is a fascinating exploration of the intersection between technology and creativity. The piece is a beautiful blend of mathematics and art, and it is entirely composed of calculations and formulas. Despite its abstract nature, the work has an organic quality to it that draws the viewer in.

The primary color tone of the piece is brown, which adds a warmth and depth to the overall composition. There is a lot of contrast in the work, with the intricate mathematical patterns standing out against the subtle variations in color.

One of the most interesting aspects of this piece is that it was created using artificial intelligence or machine learning techniques. As an artist, the creator of this piece made choices about which components were usable and which weren’t. This mix of automatic generation and manual selection adds an extra layer of complexity to the work.

It’s worth noting that this piece might be particularly appealing to people who are interested in math or science. The intricate patterns and complex calculations could be seen as beautiful in their own right, and might be especially compelling for those who enjoy playing with numbers and equations.

The small details in this piece are particularly striking. Despite the overall abstract nature of the work, there is a level of precision and attention to detail that makes it feel almost tactile. The patterns and shapes seem to shift and move as you look at them, creating an almost hypnotic effect.

Overall, ‘Mathematical Art’ is a beautiful example of the potential that lies at the intersection of art and technology. It is an intriguing exploration of the beauty and complexity of mathematics, and could well be the start of a new art movement that incorporates advanced computational techniques in creative ways.

Because of the great succes of ‘Mathematical Art’ I created another artwork simply called ‘Mathematical Art II’
