A colorful portrait of a young woman in mixed media

An abstract portrait of a beautiful photographic model I have had the pleasure of working with on several occasions. The source of this drawing is a photo from our first photo shoot. The work is combined with different oil painting techniques on a linen texture.The work looks busy, but there is a lot to see besides the portrait, such as a landscape with trees and a river, the waves of the sea and the lines of an abstract rectangular painting.In my opinion, this work will do nicely as a print on aluminum or paper. Because of the texture used, added texture of canvas or cloth might be a bit much although of course tastes will differ in that.In my style of work I like to use contrasts that can be discovered in the lighting, the subjects or in the color palette. I also like to use the color red somewhere in a work so that this color comes back as a red thread in my work. Sometimes as a small accent or sometimes in a real leading role like the many works with red dresses.In my abstract works I often combine different techniques (mixed-art) to let the techniques reinforce each other and to achieve a result with many details.
